Welcome
to the Institute for Law Enforcement Administration
Alumni Association (ILEAAA). The Alumni
Association exists for the purpose of fostering
a continuing connection among former students
of Institute programs, and providing an
avenue for out-of-Texas law enforcement
agencies to obtain scholarships to attend
the School of Police Supervision or the
Management College.
Joining
the Alumni Association is easy. Alumni Members
must have successfully completed the School
of Police Supervision, the Management College,
or one of the one-week or longer Institute
programs. Dues are $25 per year, with the
membership year beginning with the Contemporary
Issues in Police Administration Conference
held in March. Applicants merely need to
complete an application
form and submit the form and
payment to the ILEA.
The
Alumni Association co-sponsors the Contemporary
Issues and Ethics Conference with the Institute.
It is during this Conference that the association
holds its annual business meeting and election
of officers for the next year. The Alumni
Association awards a scholarship to the
School of Police Supervision and the Management
College to out-of-Texas agencies, upon application
and approval by the association board.
The
Alumni Association is supported by membership
dues and the sale of Institute memorabilia
items. The proceeds from dues and merchandise
sales pay for the operating costs of the
association and the scholarships.
